Pilar Garcia Guzman

Pilar García Guzmán is a writer from Santiago, Dominican Republic. She is a UIW alum with a BA in English and minors in Creative Writing and Finance. Pilar is now pursuing her MFA in Fiction at Florida Atlantic University, where she serves as Co-Managing Editor of Swamp Ape Review. She is working on a novel that explores culture, memory, motherhood, and (you guessed it) grief. Pilar is a self-proclaimed romance novel connoisseur, and she hopes her work makes readers feel as loved and comforted as she does while discovering new work.
